After losing our beloved Tilly at the beginning of 2024, we have thought hard about opening our hearts again to another dog. Eventually, we did agree that a house without a dog is not complete and thus in December 2024, Cody has arrived to the UK with us filled with joy but also with challenges.

In my role as a dog trainer, I meet many dog parents who do their very best with the information that is available, trust strangers who (claim to) know things about dogs to show them the way through early stages of their life with a new dog and they often share a very common but not frequently addressed sense of failure. I started this diary when Cody arrived committed to show dog guardians around the world - friends and clients, that everyone can struggle. Even dog trainers who could build a house from all the books and articles they have read, can come to their wit’s end. If you are new here and have a puppy that is peeing in the house and chewing on everything that comes in their path, welcome!

I hope you not only enjoy reading it but that you will also start feel like those puppy blues clouds above you, are parting and fading away. If you are in doubt and need someone to listen and guide you through this, get in touch.

You do not have to do it alone.
